Falls Church, VA – Dominick Iorio, M.B.A., LUTCF, has received GAMA International’s International Management Award and Master Agency Award. Iorio, who is the managing director of Bridge Financial Group, an office of MetLife in Staten Island, N.Y., was one of some 1,000 recipients of the International Management Award and one of 240 recipients of the Master Agency Award in 2010.

The GAMA International Awards Program recognizes excellence in traditional and contemporary field management throughout the financial services industry. GAMA created the International Management Award to recognize first-line managers (agency or firm heads) and frontline or second-/middle-line managers (sales or unit managers) in the following distribution styles: multiline; ordinary/traditional; midmarket; financial planning; and home service. 

The Master Agency Award was created to recognize those agencies that have met or exceeded $7,600,000 in commissions. The 2011 award was based on the 125 highest commission credit figures received by GAMA for the 2010 qualification. Applicants for both awards must be GAMA International members in good standing.

Iorio has been a part of MetLife for 25 years. He earned his B.S. in business administration and his M.B.A. in marketing at Wagner College. Formerly a leading sales representative and branch manager, as a regional director of sales he was awarded MetLife’s Regional Award of Excellence and throughout his career has been responsible for promoting more than 10 of his associates to various management and marketing positions. In years past, he received GAMA International’s National Management Platinum, Silver and Bronze Awards. He was also honored by MetLife for his achievement as a Chairman’s Council qualifying officein 2006 and 2007. Iorio earned his Life Underwriting Training Council Fellowship designation, is a graduate of the General Agents and Managers GIFT Program and is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.

In addition, Iorio is a member of the Bulldog Club of America and was inducted to the Wagner College Athletics Hall of Fame in 2008. He is actively involved in many community organizations and has been an ardent supporter of local events benefiting the Salvation Army, the New York Blood Center, the American Cancer Society, Big Brother’s Big Sisters and Lifestyles for the Disabled. Iorio and his family reside in Colts Neck, N.J.

Under the leadership of Dominick Iorio, Bridge Financial Group employs more than 200 individuals. In 2007, Bridge Financial Group was honored with the Staten Island Development Corporation’s Platinum Award for Businesses That Keep Business and Jobs on Staten Island. Dominick manages several MetLife offices throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

The recipients of this year’s International Management Award and Master Agency Award were recognized at GAMA’s LAMP conference in Washington, D.C., in March and will be included in the July/August 2011 issue of the GAMA International Journal.
